Feeling Grey | 3 Sep 06

I've been a bit under the weather lately, barely turned the computer on, so this is my first post for a while. Should be back to (almost) daily postings now.

Obviously this is The Palace Pier, (now the 'Brighton Pier' but I prefer the former), it's sometimes hard to get a clear spot to photograph it from with so many others doing the same! I want to come down here and try some shots from underneath and maybe a couple long exposures we well - that'll test my little camera. Overall the shot sums up how I've been feeling lately hence the title.

Note: Looks quite good against the white background

As above, the processing is great. I like the placement in the composition too.posted by Ian on September 4, 2006 3:20PM
Really great shot. You chose an excellent monochromatic color which provides a great relief to the menacing looking sky.posted by Dennis Rogers on September 4, 2006 5:08PM

That is one fabulous pier! I like the way you can see the elegance uptop along with the pilings and a generous helping of Sea and Sky.posted by College Ski Trip on September 5, 2006 9:13PM
I've seen that pier in quite a few English movies but never known what it was called. Everytime I saw it I drooled about taking photos of it.

You're living my dream! Looks great in B&W.posted by leeroy on September 6, 2006 9:29AM
